Terms of Use
1. Provider
Ringforge is provided by:
Exerlyze UG (haftungsbeschränkt), represented by the managing director Mr. Markus Kurbel Stresemannallee 63, 60596 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Contact email: mail@exerlyze.com
2. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the mobile app Ringforge (iOS/Android) and to app-related support provided by Exerlyze UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
Ringforge is offered worldwide. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or region remain unaffected. If a provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory local law, the mandatory local law applies.
Ringforge is intended for individuals aged 16 and older. If you are under 16, do not use Ringforge.
3. App Store and Google Play Terms
If you download Ringforge through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and other applicable Apple terms apply to your use of the app and to App Store purchases. We do not provide a custom Apple EULA. These Terms supplement those Apple terms only to the extent they do not conflict with them.
If you download Ringforge through Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service, Google Play billing and refund rules, and other applicable Google terms apply to your use of the app and to Google Play purchases. These Terms supplement those Google terms only to the extent they do not conflict with them.
If store terms, billing rules, or mandatory law conflict with these Terms, the store terms, billing rules, or mandatory law take precedence for the affected issue.
4. Ringforge Functionality
Ringforge is a training timer for combat sports and interval-based workouts. The app lets you configure preparation, round, and rest intervals, save timer profiles, track local workout history, and view streaks or achievements.
Ringforge does not provide medical advice, professional coaching, emergency services, or health diagnosis. You are responsible for deciding whether a workout is suitable for you. If you have a medical condition, injury, or uncertainty about training safely, consult a qualified professional before exercising. Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other warning sign.
5. Local Data
Ringforge currently stores timer settings, workout history, streaks, badges, and similar app data locally on your device. There is no user account and no cloud sync for this data.
You are responsible for backing up or preserving local device data where your device or operating system allows it. We are not responsible for loss of local app data caused by uninstalling the app, resetting the device, operating system behavior, device failure, or similar events outside our control.
For more information about data processing, third-party services, advertising, purchases, and diagnostics, see the Privacy Policy.
6. Ads and Ad-Free Access
Ringforge may display banner ads in the free version of the app.
Ringforge offers a one-time in-app purchase for ad-free access. When ad-free access is active and recognized by the app, banner ads are removed for the app store account used for the purchase.
Where the app, store listing, or purchase screen refers to "lifetime", "forever", or similar wording, this means ad-free access for the lifetime of the Ringforge app and ad-free product while they remain available, supported, and technically capable of being recognized through the relevant app store account. It does not mean that the app, store platform, device operating system, or third-party services will remain available indefinitely.
Ad-free access is managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Availability across platforms, devices, family sharing, and accounts depends on the applicable store rules, entitlement state, and technical availability. If ad-free access does not appear after reinstalling the app or changing devices, use the restore-purchases function in the app settings.
If a purchase is refunded, reversed, cancelled, charged back, or otherwise invalidated, ad-free access may be removed.
7. In-App Purchases, Billing, and Refunds
Ringforge's ad-free purchase is sold as a digital in-app product through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform.
Prices, taxes, currency conversion, payment methods, receipts, billing support, refunds, and purchase management are handled by the relevant store. The final price is shown in the store purchase interface before you confirm the purchase.
Refund rights are governed by applicable law and the relevant store's refund rules. For App Store purchases, refund requests are generally handled by Apple. For Google Play purchases, refund requests are generally handled through Google Play, although you may contact us for purchase support and we will handle developer-side requests according to applicable law and store tooling.
The ad-free purchase is currently a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not automatically renew.
8. Acceptable Use
You may use Ringforge only for lawful personal or business training purposes and in accordance with these Terms and applicable store terms.
You must not:
- misuse the app, stores, purchase flow, restore flow, or support channels;
- attempt to bypass, manipulate, or fraudulently obtain paid functionality;
- interfere with app security, advertising, diagnostics, billing, or entitlement verification;
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the app except where permitted by mandatory law or applicable open-source licenses;
- use Ringforge in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
9. Intellectual Property
Ringforge, including its design, branding, text, graphics, software, and other app content, is owned by Exerlyze UG (haftungsbeschränkt) or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
For copies downloaded through the Apple App Store, your app license is governed by Apple's standard EULA. These Terms do not grant broader rights than the applicable store terms or Apple's standard EULA where applicable. No ownership rights in Ringforge are transferred to you.
10. Third-Party Services
Ringforge may use third-party services and SDKs, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform. These third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
We are not responsible for third-party services, store infrastructure, billing systems, operating systems, network connectivity, or other services outside our control.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update Ringforge to fix bugs, improve performance, add or remove features, maintain store compliance, adjust monetization, or meet legal, security, or technical requirements.
We try to keep Ringforge available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some features may depend on your device, operating system, network connection, store availability, third-party services, or regional requirements.
If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the date below and, where required, provide additional notice.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where this would be unlawful, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, mandatory product liability, or mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to the above, we are liable for slight negligence only where a material contractual obligation is breached. Material contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use of Ringforge possible and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In such cases, liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damages.
Ringforge is a timer and training support tool. You remain responsible for your own training decisions, environment, equipment, intensity, and safety.
13. Termination
You may stop using Ringforge at any time and uninstall the app from your device.
We may suspend or discontinue the app or specific features where necessary for security, legal compliance, store compliance, technical reasons, or misuse. Any existing consumer rights, store rights, or statutory rights remain unaffected.
14. Privacy
The processing of personal data in connection with Ringforge is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by German law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or region remain unaffected. Consumers may bring claims in any court that has jurisdiction under mandatory law. Otherwise, the courts at our registered seat are responsible to the extent legally permitted.
